virtual and applied mechanics

The department of VAM (VIRTUAL AND APPLIED MECHANICS) is concerned with material research and mathematical models and numerical simulations of stress, deformation, current and temperature fields. Modern numerical simulations allow to streamline the design process of machine parts and assemblies. Optimisation of mechanisms, simulation of their behaviour, or other modern methods lead to a gradual reduction of energy consumption of machines, reduction of environmental burden and increase of their productivity.
